Introduction to IOSignal
IOSignal connects applications and devices through a messaging server. JavaScript clients run in browsers and Node.js; a C++ client supports Arduino devices. The server relays channel publications, direct CID messages, and CID publications.
Start with a working message
Use the five-minute quickstart to run a local server and two clients, or run a complete browser chat. Then read signal tags to understand routing.
Choose a development path
- Web developers: browser imports, client API, and component lifecycle. Runnable examples include Vanilla JavaScript, React, and Svelte.
- Backend developers: Node.js client and server, followed by the server authentication guide.
- Arduino developers: installation and board examples. Check the library and board versions before uploading.
Applications
IOSignal can carry chat messages, device state and commands, communication between servers, and WebRTC signaling. Application rules such as room permissions, command acknowledgments, and media negotiation remain part of your app.
IOSignal is the messaging library; Remocon is an application and device-example project using it. Use environment selection and version compatibility to choose the right package and guide.
